Technical visit from Pozantı to Greece

The project's technical visit to Greece took place in Rafina; the fire observation office in East Attica and areas affected by fire were visited.

The technical visit to Greece under the "Increasing Resilience of Local Authorities for Forest Protection and Wildfires" project, to be carried out between the municipalities of Pozantı and Rafina-Pikermi, took place in Rafina. It was attended by Pozantı Mayor Mustafa Çay, Pozantı District Governor Fatih Karamahmut, Karaisalı District Governor Muhammed Huzeyfe Onur, Project Coordinator Necati Burak Öztürk, Assistant Project Coordinator Beyza Yıldırım, and collaborators from Karaisalı Municipality and Çukurova University. We would like to thank Mayor Dimitra Tseva and her delegation, who hosted our project meeting, KEAN founder Stavros Milionis, and our project partners Karaisalı Municipality and Çukurova University for their contributions.

As part of the project's technical visit, the fire observation office in East Attica and areas affected by fire were visited. Information was shared about the fire that destroyed thousands of decares of forest land.

A meeting was held at KEAN, led by Olga Gourdomichali and Stavros Milionis. Consultations were held on the activities to be carried out and on further developing mutual relations.
